Navy Blue From Day To Night - Part II

In our last post, you saw us style our fall favourite, navy blue, for a laid back day time look. Today, we take those same looks and transform them into evening chic in under ten minutes. We all have those days... you're barely off work at 5pm and you have an event, or a friend's birthday, or an engagement announcement to be at by 6pm. On days like this, it's important to plan ahead and coordinate your work outfit so that you can swap out a piece or two and be ready for the evening.

In our previous looks, Alistair paired a navy blue knit sweater with matching relaxed fit trousers, classic white sneakers, and a camel trench coat. I paired a pair of navy blue culottes with a camel turteneck, navy blue bomber, and white sneakers.

Transforming these outfits into evening appropriate was a piece of cake. All Alistair did was swap his sweater for a button up shirt, his coat for a suit jacket, and his sneakers for loafers. As for me, I ditched my camel turtleneck and sneakers for a deeper navy blue sweater and nude stilettos and draped a trench coat over my shoulders for good measure. Et voila! We were out the door in ten minutes. Since I'm a touch blind without my prescription glasses, I traded my signature cherry blossom frames for a gold rimmed rounded pair, whereas Alistair added a little edge to his look by donning a pair of gold rimmed optical aviators

We hope you enjoyed both these looks! Let us know how you transition from day to night on a busy day in the comments below.
